The Sanctuary Golf Club
This private golf club, opened in 1992, is located within the very highly-rated Sanctuary Community and contains a natural habitat that is also a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The course is designed by Arthur Hills and is considered a world-class golfing venue. With an elegant ambiance, the 18-hole, par 72 course overlooks Pine Island and is the recipient of over 25 awards from throughout the globe. Weekly men's and women's events, golf school, weekly women's 9-hole events, instructional clinics, couples events, and more are offered here as well as a kids' holiday sports camp. Club members enjoy dining at the clubhouse that offers cuisine that highlights local dishes, including seafood and fresh fare. Casual as well as fine dining is offered, and the staff will provide catering for special events. The Sanctuary Golf Club is next to the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, a destination for nature lovers from throughout the world.
The Sanibel Island Golf Club
This semi-private club, formerly called Beachview Golf Course, features an 18-hole par 70 championship golf course that is ideal for golfers of all levels. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the island as well as abundant wildlife, it is the site of numerous tournaments and events. Fundraising and group events are often held here. Moreover, a fully stocked pro shop is on site as well as a practice green for putting. The Sanibel Island Golf Club is located at 1100 Par View Drive.
