Bora Bora is one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Due to its small size, the entire island is nearly a beach. The gorgeous vistas and crystal clear waters attract thousands of visitors from all over the world each year. Here are some of the best resorts to visit.
InterContinental Le Moana Resort
Located in the middle of a coral island, the Le Moana Resort is an absolute gem. You’ll find this luxury hotel on the south side of the island at the well-known Matira Point. It’s an exotic retreat on pure white sand and gorgeous turquoise water. It boasts 64 individual bungalows, 12 beach bungalows and a beach suite. For those who prefer staying in a bungalow over the water, there are 48 with one suite. One of the best features of the overwater bungalows is the glass coffee tables that allow you to view the lagoon. There’s a spa, pool, fitness center and boating/fishing activities for everyone. Once the sun sets, performances by traditionally dressed dancers will capture the imagination. With a restaurant, lounge, fitness center, tennis court, and more, you’ll never be bored while staying at this resort. In addition, it’s more budget friendly than the Four Seasons or the Hilton.
Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort
This hotel is classic luxury and is about ten minutes by boat from Bora Bora’s airport on the island of Motu Tevairoa. This hotel offers 50 overwater bungalows, fourteen premium pool suites, and six garden pool suites. In the bathroom, both the bath tub and vanity areas allow you to view the lagoon through glass table tops. Fine dining, spa, tennis, and pools are some of the hotel’s amenities. There are activities for the entire family, including: boating, fishing, hiking, sailing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and shopping.
Blue Heaven Island
Blue Heaven Island has the traditional Bora Bora bungalow accommodation. However, instead of overwater placement these bungalows are clustered among coconut tree groves and near coral gardens. It is closer to the airport than the larger resorts, also, and the area owner comes to take you to the island from the airport in his own boat with his water-loving dogs. The beach and water are just feet away wherever you go.
Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa
The Hilton prides itself on attentive and responsive staff that are dedicated to making sure your vacation is one of relaxation and full of incredible experiences. Located about 10 minutes away from the main island on its own private beach, guests can choose from packages that include or do not include meals. While there are cheaper places to each on the mainland, the ferry ride might be a hindrance for some. Most things close around 10 p.m. local time, so if you are seeking nightlife entertainment, the vibe of this hotel may be too relaxed for your tastes.
Sunset Hill
The lodge allows you to be completely self-sufficient. Bikes, kayaks, and a bus to the beach are all free of charge. While this location does not offer beachside views, it does have its own pool. There are many places to eat nearby, however, for a good local food experience. While you won’t be staying on top of the water like the other big-name resorts, with the money you’ll save here, you can spend extra on amazing excursions!
