10. Farmers’ and Crafts Market of Las Cruces
Each Saturday morning, a large section of Main Street in Las Cruces is devoted to promoting the goods of local vendors. The community comes together to buy everything from fresh grown produce to hand-crafted jewelry. Many visitors love to walk around the market and discover what’s on display.

4. The Candy Lady

This candy shop has been an Albuquerque institution for decades, but it gained national notoriety when its rock candy was used as crystal meth in Breaking Bad. The Candy Lady serves a variety of sweets, including some that contain New Mexican chile peppers.

Made popular by the American standard of the same name, the historic highway runs from Santa Monica, California, to Chicago, Illinois, displaying some of the most scenic views in the United States. The New Mexico stretch of Route 66 predominantly features several monuments, including Madonna of the Trail.

Since it's founding in 1972 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of 770 KKOB radio, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has been an annual tradition ever since. The largest hot air balloon festival in the world, this nine-day event showcases more than 500 balloons each year.
