If you are going to Boston at the end of the winter season, you may want to wait to purchase the card because prices are generally cut in half at that time.
Lodging
The city has many hotels that feature kid and family-friendly amenities, but none can compare to the Hotel Marlowe or Marriott’s Boston Custom House. The Hotel Marlowe has rooms starting at only $206 per night, and the amenities are plentiful. Guests are offered free use of bicycles and kayaks, a free library, child bathrobes and children welcome gifts upon arrival. Both of the hotels are located within walking distance of several attractions listed on the Boston Go Card. Marriott’s Boston Custom House has a lower starting rate of $179 per night, but there are not quite as many amenities. The hotel has kitchenettes in every room, an arcade for gaming, a swimming pool and free laundry machines with free detergent. Between these two hotels, families could really enjoy themselves while on vacation.
Food
If you are looking for restaurants that serve family-friendly and kid-friendly foods, you do not need to look any further. Joe’s Café and Grill and the Barking Crab are both extremely family friendly. Joe’s Café and Grill is a pan-Asian cuisine restaurant, and the kid menu is fantastic. Your child is likely to even try eel because it comes in a fun, caterpillar roll, and it makes the food look fun and appetizing to children. The Barking Crab is a fun place to go if you do not mind shared seating. The restaurant features extra-long picnic tables, and families mix and mingle with one another while enjoying their meals. The children’s fish and chips comes with a pickle and a sundae, and it only costs $7.
Boston is a great place to go with your family. The Boston Go Card, family-friendly hotels and the kid-friendly restaurants are ideal for those traveling with youngsters.
